Dr. Salas is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. His principle research interests are in Medieval and Late Scholastic Philosophy (esp. Albertus Magnus, Thomas Aquinas, Duns Scotus, and Francisco Suárez) as well as Postmodern Philosophies of Religion (esp. Gianni Vattimo and Jean-Luc Marion).
At present, Dr. Salas is editing and co-editing a number of volumes in Scholastic Philosophy, including: (with John P. Doyle) Collected Studies on Francisco Suárez (1548-1617) (Leuven University Press); and (with Robert Fastiggi) A Companion to Francisco Suárez (E.J. Brill Publishers). Upon completion of these book projects, Dr. Salas will continue his engagement of Postmodern critiques of Being with Medieval accounts of the Analogy of Being.
