Patricia Rennie

Mrs. Rennie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1968, with a major in English and minors in history and art history. She went on to earn a Master of Theological Studies degree (1984) and Master of Divinity (1988) from the former St. John's Provincial Seminary in Plymouth, MI. Mrs. Rennie is also a graduate of the Internship Program in Spiritual Direction of the Dominican Center for Religious Development.
Mrs. Rennie is the Dean of the Institute for Ministry, the administrative arm of SHMS that serves its commuter student population. She also serves as Director of Formation for the lay ministry programs, in particular, the Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies degree. As dean, Mrs. Rennie is a member of SHMS' Administrative Council. She also serves on a number of committees, including undergraduate and graduate admissions, the MA/MAPS committee, and other ad hoc committees.
Prior to coming to SHMS, Pat worked in parish ministry as a pastoral associate. Pat has been a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Subcommittee on Lay Ministry Formation and also serves on ATS's Advisory Committee for Student Resources.
In In her role as the Institute's Dean, Mrs. Rennie also collaborates on a number of Archdiocesan committees, including the Pastoral Ministry Certification Review Board, the Mission Possible committee which promotes lay ecclesial ministry, the F. Gerald Martin Pastoral Ministry Conference committee, as well as ad hoc committees.
