Criminal Justice Ministry in the Archdiocese of Detroit supports six chaplaincy coordinators and over 600 volunteers in providing a pastoral presence throughout the criminal justice system. Primary services provided are religious services in juvenile and adult correctional facilities. Secondary services include pastoral visits, Bible studies, pre-release planning, outreach/aftercare ministry, supportive services to the families of the incarcerated and educational programs for parishes.
